In this two-week long training, students will be provided basic training on the role and responsibilities of a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and how to effectively partner with Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. High School Diploma or GED required. Total CEUs available: 46

The CCAR Recovery Coach Academy

This is a 5-day required Core training designed for individuals interested in becoming Peer Support Specialists. The training will provide individuals with the skills needed to guide, mentor and support anyone who would like to enter into sustain long term recovery. Total 30 Hours of CEUs: 7.5 Advocacy, 9 Ethics,5.25 Mentoring/Education, 8.25 Recovery/Wellness

The CCAR Ethical Considerations Training

The CCAR Ethical Considerations training is a two-day training for peers. A variety of ethical considerations will be explored including defining the coaching service role and functions, coaching standards, issues of vulnerability, ethical decision making, performance enhancement and legal issues. 16 CEUs will be available upon completion.

Managing Mental Health Emergencies

This online training will provide behavioral health professionals with tools for managing mental health emergencies, including an understanding of the consumer’s perspective, general principles of how and when to initiate an emergency petition and a review of the emergency petition process.
