Dr. Curtis Adams was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his undergraduate and medical studies at Howard University in Washington, DC. He went on to train in general adult psychiatry at Hahenemann University (now Drexel University) in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Adams joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry, University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1998, in the Division of Community Psychiatry. He is the Senior Psychiatrist at Carruthers Clinic, a community mental health center, and is an attending psychiatrist on the PACT team. He also provides bi-weekly consultation and training to Harbor City Unlimited, a psychosocial rehabilitation program. Dr. Adams also serves on the Board of the American Association for Community Psychiatry. He is a member of the Psychiatry and Community Committee of the Group for the Advancement of Psychiatry.
