Our 2023 Impact Report is here!


2023 not only marked ten years of service in Baltimore City, but also a year of ongoing collaboration across the city and state to build community connections.


Working with Community 


BHSB renewed our focus on community engagement.

 

We began offering Mental Health First Aid trainings across Baltimore City and supported our neighbors at Rosemont Towers and in Brooklyn following traumatic events.

Strengthening the Crisis System



From ensuring community members have a safe place to access stabilization services to advocating for long term support for the 988 Helpline, 2023 gave BHSB the chance to collaborate across Central Maryland to strengthen the state’s behavioral health crisis system.

Supporting Our Youth


BHSB prioritized providing fun spaces where Baltimore City youth could be themselves while learning about how to make healthier choices from our partners.


We also worked behind the scenes to connect youth and their families to crucial behavioral health resources.

What's next? The 2024 Legislative Session.

The 2024 Maryland General Assembly Legislative Session began this week. Over the next 90 days, BHSB will advocate for policies that strengthen the behavioral health system and improve access to care.
