Margot Anthony is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work with minors in sociology and psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She is a transnational and interracial adoptee from Korea. At UMBC she is part of the Korean Student Association and the Social Work Student Association. Through her classes she has found interest in outreach and advocacy for increasing mental health services, increasing drug use education and prevention services, and increasing the outreach and assistance available for immigrant communities. Margot has advocated for drug overdose prevention policies, talking to different Maryland Delegates and Senators both supporting and opposing bills that would impact various communities and people within Maryland. After completing her BSW, Margot aspires to attend the School of Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore and obtain a master’s in social work.
