Emily Heinlein directs BHSB’s public health strategic initiatives. Emily’s role includes project direction for U-TURNS, an initiative to promote healing from trauma, and oversight of BHSB’s harm reduction work. Emily also serves as BHSB’s lead on the Preventing Substance-Exposed Pregnancies Coalition, HIV and hepatitis C testing and linkage to care initiatives.
Emily has over ten years of experience in public health, including designing and running community health promotion programs, serving as an assistant for special projects to the Baltimore City Commissioner of Health, and developing curricula.
Emily has a master’s degree in public health and bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and sociology.
