Corey D. Hatchet Sr. is Pastor and founder of House of Refuge International Church (HRIC). HRIC strives to build community and connection and help underserved community members. Pastor Hatchet believes in the power of faith, community and family to heal communities and individuals. Pastor Hatchet is a member of the Coppin Heights Community Development Corporation (CHCDC) clergy caucus and the Rosemont Community Inter-faith Coalition (RCIC) in which both organizations have concentrated on bringing redevelopment, education, empowerment, and nurture along with proving basic needs to help disadvantaged communities in Baltimore.
Pastor Hatchet received his A.A. in General Studies from Baltimore City Community College, his B.A from Washington Bible College and M.A in Biblical Studies from Clarks Summit University, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate in ministry. Pastor Hatchet and his wife Tonya Hatchet have four children and two grandchildren.
