National Recovery Month recognizes and celebrates the fact that prevention works, treatment is effective, and recovery is possible for those living with substance use disorders and/or mental illness. This year’s theme-Join the Voices for Recovery: Our Families, Our Stories, Our Recovery!-highlights the value of individuals, families, and communities sharing stories of recovery as a way to encourage others to make a personal connection with the recovery movement. BHSB applauds those gains made by individuals in our community who are in recovery or fighting for recovery and National Recovery Month allows us to spread the positive messages and celebrate the numerous successes of these instances in the community. Please join us in attending and supporting any of the events below which are all part of this month’s celebration and show your support for the millions across the nation whose lives have been transformed. These successes often go unnoticed and National Recovery Month provides a vehicle to celebrate these accomplishments.
